I lived most of my life in the Washington, DC, area, where I worked at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory. They do amazing research there, creating things like robots, space satellites, and special paints for ships. My job was to write about the science.
Now I have another great job -- writing books for kids. And I live in North Carolina with my two full-of-mischief dogs. When I'm not writing, I enjoy hiking, fishing, and playing a game called pickle ball (kind of like a mix of tennis and ping pong). In college, I majored in English at Campbell University (B.A.) in North Carolina and George Mason University (M.A.) in Virginia. |
